July 8th, 2003 We were trying to win over a new client for our tour business when one of our Prevost H3-45s broke down at Mount Rushmore, SD. We made several phone calls including to Prevost 24hr service for a service truck to attempt a repair on the coach. They informed us that Bill Wainford of Motorcoach Maintenance & Truck Repair was the closest most skilled technician. Bill is located in the same town as we are (450 miles from Mount Rushmore). SO we called Bill and sent him on his way. Bill drove through the night and was able to repair the coach in the parking lot of the state park. Our bus picked up the group at the local hotel the next morning and their trip went on as scheduled. Bill was able to track down a electrical failure in the bus repair it and get it on its way. The service call saved us money over towing the coach, waiting for a technician, and paying overtime to a shop. It was a real lifesaver. After our group’s tour was over we received a letter from the tour operator praising us for our expediency in troubleshooting a breakdown and keeping their schedule. We earned the repeat business of a valuable customer even with a breakdown on the first trip. Bill Wainford of Motorcoach Maintenance & Truck Repair has come to the rescue on several occasions for our business.
